Wortkoorl acknowledge the land on which we walk from Boorloo, land of the Whadjuk people to the Bibbulmun Menang, who have been here for thousands of years.
With gratitude we pay our respects to our Elders, the Elders of this boodja – this land – who cultivated and sustained this country for millennia.
Generation upon generation have walked here before us. Families nurtured the land as they nurtured their own children. Elders taught young ones the ancient knowledge of this country and guiding the way.
We honour the ancient spirit of this land, and we hope this spirit may guide and protect us as we work and walk together for a better future on Noongar Bibbulmun boodja.
It is a privilege to live and work here, walking together as one.
Our journey so far
Wortkoorl Hemp Growing Trials
Hemp absorbs carbon and nitrogen out of the air and puts it back into the soil regenerating and adding nutrients to the soil. Hemp can help heal the land simply by growing in its natural environment, we are working in collaboration with DPIRD and HempGro WA in a No-Water- Use Hemp growing trials in collaboration with Southwest (Wardandi Country).
Our first trials are nearing completion and we have learnt that Hemp can grow to full capacity 60 times faster than trees and eliminates approximately four times more carbon dioxide than trees and only takes 80 – 100 days to grow to full capacity.

We hold national association memberships and certifications, including an active registration with Supply Nation and are currently working on obtaining BSI certification.
